Adopted through English Springer Rescue America when she was 6 months old; runt of her litter, backyard breeder never docked her tail or treated an injury/infection to one of her eyes, so she lost the sight in that eye and it had to be removed once rescue got her at 5 months of age. At age 4 Belle earned her Canine Good Citizen certification.

Stash was a "free to a good home" kitten we adopted the day after Thanksgiving 2006. So we gave him that good home.

We have fostered in the past. I'm the one in tears when I take the animal back to the shelter but I always take them back. We have taken our dogs to obedience training so we are using what we learned with them on Baloo. He's a maniac but also a very lovable puppy. Some family is going to be very happy to have him.

I am so sorry to hear that. I never realized that the numbers were as bad as they were either. I did have one woman tell me that it just wasn't natural for an animal to never have a heat cycle. I'm sure that she didn't realize the dangers involved though.

Belle is beautiful. My family also likes Springer Spaniels though they tend towards the black and white ones. But springers are some of the sweetest, most wonderful dogs I've ever met.
