Well, separation anxiety usually means that once you leave the house, the dog displays unwanted behavior such as barking, destruction and so on. Does she nip only when you are about to leave in the morning or is it always during periods of excitement or play? You may teach her to settle down with a toy that she only gets in the morning to keep her busy. I prefer the KONG, you can fill it with a bit of peanut butter and freeze it. Give it to her only before you leave in the morning. When you get back, you take it away. Make going out and coming home very bland, meaning keep it low key so that she doesn't start any bad behaviors while you're gone. Putting her in another room while you are getting ready is not a bad at all, don't make it too much of a punishment cause then later in life she might not like going in the room. Put her toy in there (the Kong)and reward her for being calm.
