Just as I draw your attention to gadgets designed to enhance your pet's life, of course I also come across the latest word on pets at peril from high-tech kit from an IT portal Contractor UK. How and where we position out latest gadgets at home is an important consideration if you have a furry friend who might take an interest in them too!
Apparently, laptop computers and iPods, sometimes on charge, now pose more of a risk to pets than the usual household equipment such as washing machines and microwaves...cats are more likely to injure themselves with an iPod, whilst Play stations are a particular risk to rabbits!!! (How and where did they get this information!!) Oh and for guinea pigs, it's DVD players and remote controls!
This may sound a little frivolous, but clearly the warnings need to be taken into account when you leave gadgets and screens unattended. A typical accident would be when an excited dog jumps up at a screen featuring a fellow pet, and the plasma falls on top of him. Wires pose the most obvious danger...I find it hard enough not getting tangled up myself, with the kids and the Wii and the play station...without Toffee coming to lend a helping hand!
Who said modern home with gizmos galore was simple!
