I just got married last weekend which is the reason that I haven't done any posts in a while.  My life was insane for about a month.  I'm getting back into the swing of things now though and I just wanted to remind everyone that it is kitten season.  Many of the shelters are overrun with new kittens and really need foster parents.  My husband and I have fostered cats and kittens in the past and it is really a rewarding experience. Anyone who is interested in fostering can either contact their local shelter or go to petfinder.com and sign up as a volunteer.  The shelters will contact you this way.  If you have any questions about my fostering experiences let me know.

We brought home a temporary house guest today.  His name is Baloo and we can't figure out exactly what his breed is but we have been told that he is about 9 months old.  The Jacksonville Humane Society saved about 70 animals from being euthanized last week and they need foster homes for a bunch of them now.  So, Baloo came home with us for a few weeks.  Of course, we had him home all of 5 minutes and my fiance said "we really need to keep him."  We'll see how that goes.  Anyway, I just wanted to introduce all of my pawsconnect friends to our new house guest.
